The second ICM figure, the officer. ICM's crisp detail allows for pretty good results.

Thank you. If I could get good at anything, it would be figure-painting.

One more Tamiya figure to go. I was wondering if I could do anything useful with moulds that are nearly fifty years old--this kit was new in 1976. I'm quite pleased with the results, but I've also got a set of ICM figures, which I'm hoping will be better--the detail is crisper, and doesn't fade out in places like Tamiya's does. The most "disappointing" thing about the Tamiya kit is the painting guide. Not being able to read Japanese, it's not very useful, and the photos of the built figures don't really show some parts of the models, which meant I had to guess a little. I think I probably got a few things wrong. But that's okay. How can you go wrong when you pay less than $6.00 for a kit that takes you 40 hours to put together?

Superb results, Mark. You have really breathed life into these figures. I'm looking forward to seeing how the other sets compare. As you said, lots of fun for very little outlay 👍

Thank you all! I have to admit, though, since I'm nearing completion on one of the ICM figures, they're much more fun. The crisper detail makes it possible for me to do far more with painting. I'll post pics soon.
