SMS Black Surfacer with Premium White for pre shading.

Base coat is SMS PL84 Protective 4BO
Subsequent mottled and highlightsteps are SMS PL84 Protective 4BO with increasing amounts of PL162 Trainer Yellow added.
Scrounged some twigs from the backyard, they'll be lashed down eventually.

Frank MolnarWork on the T-34-85 continues. Another first for me is pre shading an AFV, having tried it a couple of times on aircraft with limited success. Also tried post shading for the first time on this one too.

Definitely working out of my comfort zone here. I haven't built any 1/35 scale kits for a few years, yet alone built a diorama. I usually build shiny things in 1/25 and 1/24 in bright Pearl colours ?
Anyway, I've started with Airfix's T-34/85 which has been nice to assemble, I believe it's a reissue of the Hasegawa kit. It's ready for paint, so I'll be trying some new techniques with shading and weathering.
How big the diorama grows, or how much of my stash goes into it isn't known yet, but we'll see. As they say, "Baby steps first!"
