I have a strange feeling of déja vu! 😉
It looks great as always, Jens! 👍 Your painting skills when it comes to camo are awesome! 👍 👍 It looks very much like the reference photos.

Bart Goesaert
nice, you don't build it as per last photo (Intriguing photo by the way... 3-4 different camo's on one aircraft...)
5 June 2018, 13:35
Jens
Thank you Björn and thank you Bart 🙂

@ Bart, yes that's so clear that 3 or 4 painters have trimmed the plane on meander, but you also see, they had no motivation to do so, at the He 219 in Denmark the pattern is much cleaner and more evenly applied

Thomas Bischoff
another nice Ju-88! Congrats on the superb paintjob

Jens
Thanks Thomas, I'm glad if the colors like 🙂, it was once a Dragon almost without spatula

Bastian Bäuerle
Great. Especially the Mäandertarnung!

Mike Daniels
Amazing paint job!! Cant wait to see the finish. Is all that wiggly stuff done just with the air brush ? Very cool technique.

Jens
Thank you Bastian, Thanks Mike, @ Mike, yes all airbrush and freehand, all lines drawn 4 to 5 times, base color Gunze Hobby Color RLM 75, the lines and circles then RLM 76 with a Tamiya 74549 SPRAY-WORK nozzle 0.3, pressure variable on the compressor 0.8 bar from the gun, color test RLM 76 spray on a smooth glass surface, that goes without spraying and blow away it is good for the base color
The model is ready today, tomorrow in good light then the pictures

Michael Hickey
Nice job on this Ju-88, you seem to get them done so quickly.👍

Jens
Hello Michael, thanks for your nice words 🙂, sorry that I have shown the pictures so late, I started on the 01.06.2018 directly after the MiG 21 R, but I also had to experiment a bit because of the meander, permanently the thin lines were already painful for my airgun, otherwise the Ju 88 G1 was a very positive surprise, hardly any spatula, a real pleasure in the construction 👍
The quality of the Dragn models is extremely different, depending on the year of manufacture, the Rvell Ju 88 C6 and the two Dragon Ju 88 C6 were on the positive side as the G1 of today 🙂

Sehr schön,

Kees Kleijwegt
Very cool Jens, stunning paintwork! 👍👍
8 June 2018, 07:41
Jens
Thank you for the nice words 🙂, since the limit of the airbrush with nozzle 0.3 is probably reached, I will switch to 0.2 and less and all in 1: 144, even if there is only one Heinkel 219 in the size gives
8 June 2018, 07:45
Bart Goesaert
Nice, you can build it again, but with the different camouflage on the wings as in the destroyed version... just for the fun of the comments at meetings...
8 June 2018, 07:53
Gerald
Was soll man sagen 👍 🙂
8 June 2018, 08:24
Jens
Thanks colleagues 🙂 I'm happy if it pleases 🙂 @ Bart, if I try the G1 again, then in 1:72 or even better 1:144, in 1:48 it would be almost boring, always only RLM 76 on RLM 75 😄
8 June 2018, 11:41
Bart Goesaert
Jens, that stay's the same, disregard of the scale 😉, but idd, I'd like to see you try the mottling on 1:144 (Mike Grant has a nice ju-88 here as a mistel...)
8 June 2018, 11:43
Jens
@ Bart I'm already looking for a kit, maybe just a He 219, but 1: 144 meander, Promise !!!
8 June 2018, 12:03
Bart Goesaert
mhh... Hopefully Mark1 models? Nice kit... maybe finished sooner then Christian Bruer's...
8 June 2018, 12:22
Alec K
This is just wonderful work Jens, the camo is inspired 👍
8 June 2018, 12:39
Hanno Kleinecke
Fantastic work on that camo, especially around the cockpit, great depiction of you reference pics !
8 June 2018, 17:18
Jens
Thanks for the nice words 🙂 , it makes me happy if I can give suggestions to new projects

Hans-Jürgen Haag
Toller Vogel Jens, sieht wirklich gut aus!
10 June 2018, 09:49
Jens
Danke Hans , Dragon ist immer wieder Überraschung und Spass zusammen, die Zwerge bekommen dafür die Überraschungseier 😄
14 June 2018, 18:48
José-Ángel Moreno
Nice job indeed! An obvious reference for my "future" Ju88 G6 project.
17 June 2018, 10:22
Jens
Hello José Ángel Moreno, I am happy if I can provide ideas, I look forward to your pictures and results 👍
17 June 2018, 11:20
gorby
Stunning!
That camo is mind-blowingly good!
17 June 2018, 16:15
Jens
Thank you gorbygould, it is a relatively simple freehand work and sprayed almost only a strength of lines and circles in RLM 76 on a RLM 75 base
17 June 2018, 16:28
gorby
The theory may be simple, but in practice….
17 June 2018, 17:47
Jens
The color and pressure of the airgun must be right, the distance to the surface determines the overall picture, practice everything on a glass or mirror, if you can work cleanly on the material it is only amusing on plastic
17 June 2018, 18:13
Clifford Keesler
Beautiful JU-88 Jens, well done.
17 June 2018, 18:20
Jens
Thanks Clifford 🙂 I am pleased that the Ju 88 like you, some will still arise, unfortunately no night fighters more, or just a few conversions of the G6 with "Berlin" Radar
17 June 2018, 18:29
Clifford Keesler
I like the night fighter version, to bad they are hard to find.
17 June 2018, 18:33
Jens
ICM now has some offers, including the G version, plus AIMS and OWL some quick boost, then only the space is missing for all versions 😄
