Brilliant work Alexander! It's a great kit, but not easy to build to this standard. which is why mine is half done! If it comes out half as nice as yours, I'll be happy!

Thanks a lot guys!

@Neil: You are being very generous with "to this standard" but I try and sometimes I get a result not to be ashamed of. This is how I see it 😄

@Neuling: I guess the "scale effect" is due to the (unforgiving) close up photos and low camera angles I like to do but who am I telling that!

@Marius: The fit overall truly exceptional except the area between the fuselage and the horizontal stabilizer. For some reason it was really bad. In fact, I'll upload some WIP pictures tomorrow.

@Alec: It's funny that you mention it because I did not intend to do it to this extent and acually thought that I ruined the model and was even reluctant to post the pictures! I wanted to create much finer splatter and got these "blobs" instead. Was very unhappy with it but in a way it actually kinda works!

I will venture a guess that your critical eye for the splatter did not materialize until you looked at your closeup photos. From an overall perspective, the effect is subtle and adds an excellent texture. I think that a diluted paint splatter in several layers is a very effective weathering technique not often used.
