Spokes are 0,4 mm
I just bend one end of the spoke and dip it in a little cyano

72 holes of 0,4mm to drill in the wheel hub.

@Michael: big metal part is not exhaust, but air intake. And the plastic fuel tank is actually a water reservoir for the cooling of the engine 😉 plastic parts airbrushed or metallic part would be the same. After it is sprayed in the correct color, I. use oil paint to make the weathering. Most of the time black, but there are different blacks… after adding some black I wipe the black off again with a sponge brush leaving some color on the right spot. If the part needs some rust, I wille add rust pigment.
Oil paint remains wet for a long period, so one can always wipe all clean with terpentine, and you can retry on a virgin part…

How are the spokes secured, just glue? That is a very impressive model!

@Rod: indeed a lot of work but very rewarding when you get to the finish. All Full detail kits from MFH require that effort!

I did not time the work on the wheels, but easily one should count 4 to 5 hours to finish one… luckily those are hobby hours🙂

I remember seeing a build of this car type on the A4 Garage YouTube channel but yours looks even more obsessed.

MOdelling bordering insanity 😉
Impressive result so far. Do you mind laying out your metal painting techniques. Those big metal parts like exhaust or fuel tank look very convincing. This is not just plain airbrush color, is it?

Thanks for the explanation and for pointing out the actual function of the parts 🙂

Well Evert, I must say.....it certainly looks like you've got the technique down for "nice & shiny." Seriously, looking really great!
