Edouard CarrHey Villiers/Christoph - hope you enjoy the build and thanks for watching the progress. Thinking about a custom paint job on the second spitfire with reference to the album power slave of which Aces High is from. Have some home print decal sheets that I have been meaning to use for years so might try testing them out. Revell have been kind enough to send a second Eddie Sprue so will have him seated in both planes when completed.

Nagy-Meszler CsabaThe cockpit is very puritanical, but unfortunately there is not enough documentation on it. The fit of the parts is very poor and needs a lot of filling and sanding.

komorasMy biggest issue was fitting the seat and the mid portion of the wheel bay, had to add 1 mm plastic card on both sides. Looking forward seeing it done! 👍

Nagy-Meszler Csabakomoras, I encountered the same problem: the landing gear bay cannot be fitted where it is intended. I used a milling head to remove enough of it to fit.

Incidentally, I would suggest 'Spartan' as a better way to describe the cockpit rather than 'puritanical'. 👍

If one intends toi leave hatches closes, then Eduard set isn't realy required.

yngvenettFollowing this to learn. If possible, please include some pictures of how you make the rear lights and blinkers look realistic. I'm really struggling with it 🙈

CasModeler1. Lights. You have to paint it using clear paints and rapid thinner. (dry coats high psi 20-25. )Then dip it into floor varnish. It makes clear parts more transparent. The last thing will be to glue a transparent film(foil)on the back of the lights. for example hasegawa mirror finish.

Anyway, not my best build. Paint job is not perfect because I experimented with thin coats and unfortunately metallic coat is too thin.

yngvenett@CasModeler Thank you for your reply and good advice. It's very nice how the community of experienced builders help with knowledge. We don't have the floor varnish available here (Norway, Europe), but I will look for an alternative 👍

CasModelerI forgot mentiom aboit the glue. Use only rubber-based clear adhesive otherwise clear part will be fogged.

CasModelerThere is a problem with floor varnish. I had to overpay and imported from USA that one.

Kesa TihoSo recently i got an idea. Estonia has an air force, and an air force has planes, there is most likely a model for every single military plane ever made, so i checked google and found a model of a Aero L-39 Albatros. The EAF (estonian air force) uses one. So i thought it would just be cool if i could build a Aero L-39 Albatros but instead of using the given decals i somehow create EAF decals for the L-39. So just wondering if anyone knows or can make decals for planes. (Sorry for rambling again i just had one of those 3 am thoughs that even Einstein would be perplexed by)
