Removing the molded in rivets as will be replacing them with Top Studio PE ones
Image of one of the computers before removing the molded in electronic connectors - to be replaced with brass
Instructions say to paint the belt buckles silver, but theyre actually a dark metallic blue on the real car
Mock up of how it's coming together
Spent 3 - 4 hours cutting off the plastic electronic connectors, drilling holes and replacing with brass and PE. Had to add some shrink tube because the kit supplied vinyl hose isn't wide enough to fit over the aftermarket brass connectors

Thanks Michael, these cars are a bit before my time so never had any real interest in them until this kit came along. I'm definitely more knowledgeable about them and appreciate them more now

After abandoning this project for a few months due to SMS 2k clear ruining the decals, eating through every paint layer and crazing the plastic (please avoid using this stuff, they've evidently changed their formula as it has ruined quite a few of my models which required stripping and repainting) I finally mustered the will power to push it over the finish line.
I ended up buying another set of decals made by Shunko, which include decals that replace the originals in the kit and the Marlboro sponsor logos
