Wright R-1820-32 Cyclone (Aviation Museum, #2) - completed
R-1820-66 used in early SBD variants
R-1820-32 used in early SBD variants (-1, -2 and -3). Represented by Verlinden.
Unfortunately the thinnest line (0,5 mm Anyz) is too thick for an 48-engine. Because of that I made an experiment and created my own „armed“ ignition cable of three 0,1 mm copper wires.
Finished wiring. Self made ignition wires “heatet” in the flame to change the bright color of copper. Painting is no more required. 🙂
Frame minus wheels completed. Aluminum first and yellow as next.

Verlinden? Hand carved from real tree resin with stone tools? 😉
Beautiful result though.
PS: if you want to go even finer with copper wires you might salvage charging cables for mobiles. The copper threads are incredibly fine.
