Considered replacing all hatches, doors, and ladders with PE but decided to only use the PE that came with the kit. If this build ends up respectable, I'll step it up on the next one.

More sub-assemblies and test fitting. A few more small sub's, then on to priming. Have learned a lot, especially when it comes to test fitting and PE work.

I've got New York here, but to have the hull correct you have to do a considerable redesign of the blisters and maybe also remove the oversize welding. I was lucky to encounter the Pontos set for 30 euros, if you want to change the hatches it could be cheaper to buy Lion Roar or other.

Last posts on this project until October, heading to our Summer home soon in Wisconsin. Looking forward to addending the IPMS/USA National Convention in Madison in July! Looking at my photos, I see I have a few corrections to make when I get back to the completion of this project,

Started a 1:350 USS Arizona (Banner Kit w/details) for my Veterans Project. I am finding many challenges with the kit. Decided to do this 1:350 USS Texas which appears to be a much better engineered kit as a learning experience that I can use with the Arizona. Wish me luck!! More sub-assemblies built and fitted. A few more small sub's then on to priming. Have learned a lot, especially when it comes to test fitting and PE work.
