Vignette of a well-known photograph taken during the last days of the Battle of Berlin, 1945. The scene depicts a segment from the aftermath of failed breakout attempt along Friedrichstraße by the 11th SS Panzer Grenadier Division 'NORDLAND' in a desperate, last-ditch attempt to break out of the encircled city. The result was a massacre.
