Alclad 2 paint over gloss black paint. But if you look close the paint cracked. This was my 3rd attempt using it. I think the issue was I painted it too thick.

I have heard a lot about Alcad, not used any yet, but might get some for my B29.

It is empty inside. Their is a cockpit but I bought this from a IPMS show dealer and it was missing the control panel. So I built it as an airliner and just painted the windows.

This kit only builds the MATS plane. Heller does make other kits with the same mold with other airline decals.

I wished they would make the transport version that was used in 1943 and all olive drab and neutral grey.... I still don't understand why other companies didn't release this kit in 1/72.

The amount plastic used in this model is a lot. The fuselage pieces are very thick to provide strength to the model. Plus it is a heavy model.
