The first step, a dryfit of the complete Pavla resin interior for this kit. The pilots will have to be adapted to their different airframe. The cargo door needs rescribing.

Thank you, Holger. It's one project I'll know where to put down afterward...

The cowling has to be adapted, most Kiowa Warriors have a central intake. Some metal foil did the job.

A modest beginning has been made on the Humvees, but I have some issues with the CAD-style instruction sheet. It just isn't as straightforward as the traditional approach.

All PE for the Humvees is used. For 1/72 the level of detail is unexpected.

The Kiowa resurfaces with a layer of dark green primer, topped with a post-shade of slightly less dark green. It had been damaged during moving and I still can't find the tail rotor.

The decals went very well. The Punisher decal seems up to scale and I added an existing identification number with spare decals. The ALQ is scratched from punched rounds, painted with Humbrol copper. Navigation lights done with Revell clear red.

Now the Humvees are painted Sand Brown. I must admit I hate the rubber tyre system, it's fitting badly if you don't severely adapt the hubs.

The interiors have been painted NATO green. One Humvee got a replacement engine hood.

The chopper is now weathered with flat earth, so the masking could go.

The rotor is fixed to the helicopter. I'll have to scratch a new tail rotor, it is lost for a while.

Thanks, Es-Haq! I rarely build 1/72, though, it seems I work for hours on a few square inches.

Nice job 😄
Spent many many hours in the PC game Janes Apache Longbow 2 - this was one of the flyable choppers and it was damned hard work. Spotting and hiding as you had a tiny weapons load. Very challenging.

The tail rotor is found and fixed. Now finishing the HMMWV's with Flat Earth. Reshaping the PJ pilot to make him stand near the chopper.

Thanks! I almost finished the Humvees and built a dio base of plaster and pigments. In a week it will probably be visible in Scaleworld.

Some of the last things have been done: fixing everything and spraying it matt. But suddenly I can't choose photo 129 as the teaser, it's stuck on "first photo". Is this a bug?

I'm still stuck on the album photo, but it should contain the final pictures now. Enjoy!
