So, I'm gonna substitute this 2 dr. sedan kit for the 4 dr. resin kit (it's a POS). My second car was a 57 4 dr. 210. Had a lot of fun in that car! Paid $25 for it, drove it all one summer, beat the living crap out of it. Broke both rear leaf springs doing J strip burnouts. (rolling backwards down a hill, rev the engine, drop it in L and floor it). And at the end of the summer sold it for $25 to a guy I knew for parts. It still ran good!
But, I gotta say I'm pretty disappointed with THIS Revell kit. Nothing fits good, parts align poorly. The body itself looks pretty good, so it should look ok when finished, but I really expected much better. The Revell kit of the 68 Dodge Dart was a superb kit, everything fit perfectly, a real sweet kit. This one is nowhere near as good. It also has those metal wheel pins, hope I have better luck with them this time.
But,,,, as long as it looks good in the end it will do.

Cool! mine had the slip & slide Powerglide w/ 283. Too bad that resin body is such a POS. I really wanted to do it as a 4 door. My cousin had a 2 dr sedan with 3 on the tree & a 6 banger, but boy that car could smoke the tires!

Can't you work the resin body with putty or my favourite is plastic filings and super glue. You layer super glue then apply the plastic filings.
I have a poorly moulded BA Falcon Ute slot car body that I am slowly working into a reasonable facsimile.
It takes time but worth the effort

Yea, I could >make it work< Wilky, but I don't think I want to put that much TIME into it. Both bumpers would have to be shortened, make a hood fit ,,, everything is too wide for it,,, etc,,, etc,,, and besides it just looks "crappy". If I was into making the junkyard look with it, it would be easy. And I do like a lot of those, they're a fun kick! But No.
I have this one getting close, and though even it is not a great kit it should look good. It will do, then I can get finish the AMT, then on to something else!
TIME,,, time is my nemesis!
