Wow, it looks pretty impressive for a kit originally from the 80s. The main parts are molded a nice Army OD with the engine and other parts molded silver. Always nice when I don't have to paint, just assemble & detail !
It has vinyl parts for the seat, chain, straps etc. The tires are solid rubber (not vinyl) and look quite nice and include the Firestone markings. NICE. Simple but nice sprue of clear parts were bagged separately, but everything was in one bag. Again I had to carefully untangle sprues!
The box is quite deep, but the largest sprues pretty much cover the bottom area, so the parts couldn't slide around and smash into the sides, a good thing. As it turns out the extra depth allowed me to add bubble wrap around all the sprues. I rebagged the smaller sprues and all still fit comfortably in the box. Ready for storage!
This should make a really nice looking display model of the old WWII Harley Army motorcycle.
A real Classic !!!

Album info

from Wikipedia:
The Harley-Davidson WLA is a Harley-Davidson motorcycle that was produced to US Army specifications in the years during and around World War II. It was based on an existing civilian model, the WL, and is of the 45 solo type, so called due to its 45-cubic-inch (740 cm3) engine displacement and single-rider design. The same engine, in a slightly lower state of tune, also powered the three-wheeled Servi-Car (the "G" family), leading to the "solo" distinction.
Harley-Davidson began producing the WLA in small numbers in 1940, as part of a general military expansion. The later entry of the United States into World War II saw significantly increased production, with over 90,000 being produced during the war.
