Kitty Hawk SH-2G Super Seasprite

A super nice detailed kit. Nice decals w/4 options, US, Polish, Egyptian & new Zealand.
AWSOME !!
Michael,
It looks like a totally nice kit to me. I like it, I think it's fantastic! The detail is something to behold!
But it's another one that I don't think I'm quite ready for yet. I have 3 of these KH heli kits, they all look superb. My painting skill is still a bit short of my goal, and I'd sure hate to mess up on a nice one like this!
The Kitty Hawk kits all look very good, but I guess the proof is in the putting (it together) !! lol
it is a very nice kit, but my experience says, not without obstacles 😉 but only a few, and some things are very complex, you ask why ??, but I have a lot of fun in the construction 👍 👍 👍
Hey Jens,
Well,,,, I haven't built a kit yet that didn't have some kind of issue, some more than others. Going by the reviews it should be great, but "IN BOX" reviews are sometimes deceiving. For example the Academy 1/400 Titanic Centenary Edition kit I'm working on now. Great reviews, best Titanic ever!! I don't think anybody had built it yet, every step I take there's an issue!! The Super Seasprite supposedly fixed some issues with the first Seasprite, kinda why I bought it instead of the original. We'll see what happens when I ever get around to building it. lol
Yours is looking good so far, cant wait to see it finished.
Cheers !
now I'm just despairing on the ejectors, even the many parts, it's no fun anymore 🙁
UH OH !!!! Ah, there's always something ! Not good when it gets to the NO FUN stage! I'm at that point already with the Titanic. If I had known it would be such a pain in the A.., I would have just put it together without all the PE and such and it would be done already and probably look just fine! As it is it's going to take all summer! At Least !! I keep saying it, but "Never Again" LOL
The money hurts me, Eduard and Kitty Hawk together 100 euros, even if there are obstacles, which must be done 😄
Yea, I'm sure the PE cost as much as the kit itself, and we sure hate to waste $$$ !! As I've been working on a few of the Titanic PE parts this evening, I'm wondering why some of these pieces couldn't have just been made of plastic and look just as good??? The PE has been a royal pain in the butt so far, and it's just getting started.
I didn't really look at the Seasprite that closely, so I didn't notice the ejector pin marks much. Sometimes I wonder WHY there are so many ? I don't like them anywhere that I can see when the kit is finished, but sometimes you just gotta grin and bear it !! Sometimes it gets ugly when you try to fix them.
I keep saying it,,, I swear the kit & PE/Resin designers/manufacturers obviously don't have some modeler sitting at a bench building these things !!!! If they did they might have better products!
Pretty much everything is the same way these days.
I'll keep my eye on yours as you finish. I see you have been busy building some other pretty neat kits too. Keep up the good work!
