Hi all! Thanks for your comments. Alexander G, yes! In this particular aircraft the landing gear doors were removed. These kites used to operate in very rough airfields by the end of the war and mud used to get stuck in between the landing gear and the door causing damage or in some cases accidents during landing. Cheers
