24 hr build... as if that's not challenge enough, Mr. Grant decides to rescribe it and add home-made decals! Inspiring as always 👍

24hr... like total number of hours spent? 'Cause there's no way that's "crack open the box... come back tomorrow..." 🙂

Thanks for the nice comments guys 🙂
@Greg It's built within a 24hr period, so that includes annoying distractions like sleeping, eating and bathroom breaks. Actual time spent building was closer to 15 hours. Because it was an online GB, regular updates and photos (with a clock) had to be posted too, further cutting in to actual build time. But it's an enjoyable challenge, and a kit that's been in my stash for 15 years has finally been finished 👍

I love the idea of such a rapid build, really forces you to sort out your work flow and priorities etc.
Doing my Bell 47 in a long weekend was challenging enough but this model in less than a day is incredible !! 😄
You truly are a remarkable modeller Mike, hats off to you mate ! 🙂

Geez. I did an old 1/72 Airfix G.91 in a 1week GB and barely made it under the wire... and it doesn't look half as nice. I mean c'mon! You even have wingtip lights! I'm always impressed by your builds Mike, but this is just ridiculous.😉

One day, I'll be able to NOT take weeks/months/a year to build a kit.

Album info
Built as part of an online Group Build on another forum, to start/complete a kit within a 24-hour period. It obviously requires some compromises/corner cutting, but fortunately the Heller kit is really nice for its age and went together without many issues. I added some rudimentary sidewall detail and seat harnesses, cut treads into the tyres and re-scribed it. The intended decals shattered so I used an old ABT sheet from the 60s for the national insignia! Rest were a combination of spares box and home printing.
