Canadair CT-133 Silver Star
I started this Heller kit back in 1992, and after all this time, this is as far as I've gotten it. Still surprises me though how good the old Heller kits are
Vents on the nose "Canadianized"...
Throttle quadrants in the front and back (apologies if the camera work isn't the best)
No decals in sight! Again, surprising level of detail for a kit that's how old now?
The only thing really lacking is the detail in the wheel wells. Tried painting it just to test; think I'm going to do a little more work in here...
True detail seats still need a few touch-ups before they get installed in their tubs. NEW UPDATE; the longer I look at these the less convinced I am that these are the right seats. Trying to come up with a different plan...
Better camera for a better look in the front...
...and the back. Added the map holder for the back seater, scratched out of some scrap brass and clear plasticard.
First bit of extra detail for the gear bays. Still more plumbing to come but it can wait until the end of the build
Another look at the updates in the cockpit, again through a better lens
