2012 Corvette Coupe ZR-1 C6 (Red) - wip
This is what I got. The important part was the rear window for my blue one.
Poor painted and rest of glue all over..... The part for a restoration. It's good glued. It's solid :/
So I havd to work with it as it is.
"Torch red" is painted
I needed something to compare "torch red" to the pre-painted body of the C7 by Revell (underneath the C6)
It is close but doesn't have the deapth of the painted body (right)
First sitting probe of new rims - Porsche Panamera
And because I was in a good mood, I painted some other parts on the body black.
Now it's prepared for thd clear cote.
As you can see, I decided to paint it shiny all over. I was thinking a lot of how and what I should do.
The rims are black glossy too 😄
This is one of the main issue. Glue on the windows. It will be a long, sandy way 😉
The interior is done. I'm satisfied with the result.
Thanks to the spare parts box. Did the decal work.
A couple of parts and it is done 🙂
Last step: tinted lamps

Slavo HazuchaNice 'vette! The combo with the matt black looks interesting - is it there to stay, or will it get a unified gloss finish later?

After I unwrapped the body, I'm a little sad, that I didn't paint a glossy clear cote first. This satin matt looks pretty good. So I'm not sure what to do. It was planned to give it a glossy shine all over.
But: how would it be to get it a completely satin matt clear cote? Goes straight through my mind. Hmmm....
Currently it is planned for a shiny finish.

Christian WUntil the paint job I was not sure what to do. At the end I decided to paint it glossy allover. I really wasn't sure, how it will look with the matt part on the hood.
The interior is done today. So it is straight on the road to get finish.

This kit was bought as a donor kit for my blue ZR-1 C6. I only needed the rear window. Then I was thinking About the torch red Color for the C7 I was Building that time. I only tested the Color on this Body. It turned out well so I decided to built this C7 too.
