How did you go about painting the photo etch handrail stuff?

Primed and painted that on the fret. If any metal showed after it was placed on the model, I only had to touch it up with a brush

Finally completed the USS Guam. It is by far the biggest kit I have ever built, not only in size but also in parts. 99% of the finished kit is standard out of the box and in retrospect the normal gun barrels looked good enough and the metal barrels, although nice, when painted don't give much of an extra dimension. I also decided to liven the kit up a little with some self made signal flags.

I'm really quite happy with how it turned out and if I find the space for more of these giant ships, I definitely want to build more!
