Thx Daniel! Normally I'm doing old struts biplanes, but sometimes also modern stuff. And the eggs and cute planes are to funny😎 So this is a little side project. The manual says you don't need glue and the fit is great.

After a lot of painting the decals are added. Only the final clear coat is missing 🙂

The final pictures are added. The canopy is only plugged on so there is still a small gap.
Project finished! It is a nice kit and provide options to build it in flight. The decals are nice too.

Hey, that's an F-35 even I admit to like! - somehow the "features" of the original indeed transfer into a really cute Egg... 🙂
I hope you had fun even without exposed mechanics, machine guns and rigging - the result is really cool, and good choice to make it colorful - well done 👍
@cloudy canopy - in my experience, keep MRP away from clear parts - varnish or clear colors, they all leave a perceivably matted & hard to polish surface...

Hey, the jet expert Slavo has found my little side project 👍 I also think it's great how the original character is still in these caricatures! Most live viewers have recognized the type. A not so colorful grey Australian machine (4 are possible with the kit decals) would at least allow a representation in flight (the kit contains additionally closed landing gear doors and an adapter) over the Ayers Rock (in German Eier-Berg) in the form of half an egg, but that would have to be built during Easter😉
From modeling point of view it was fun, bring some variation to the bench and was mostly a paint exercise. Regarding the canopy thanks for the hint! For this egg it is good enough and the beloved future brings back some shine.

Well it would be really hard to make an edition of the original that doesnt look like an egg😉
Looks awesome, guess it was maximum relaxation without the rigging, the radial engine and the fake wood parts - and also not needing to roll your giant 1 cent coin into the pics 😄
I would love to see that dio happening, maybe an all-out knife-fight with some evil russian eggs... some fried eggs added to the cliffs of ayers rock and so on 🙂

Daniel, you know me and my models frighteningly well, but the fake wood parts are often real wood ones! If you need also such a giant coin you have to check magic supplies 😉
Regarding your "evil russian eggs" there is one: Su-33 Flanker D (Hasegawa 60131, 1:Egg)
@David Thank you!

I just have to bring this out of retirement again! Why am I haunting Bughunter's albums? Well I was really looking for inspiration and I did find it, and this gem of a build!

Thank you Peter for bringing this old work back to the surface! There are some more unbuilt eggs in my stash 😉 You are going start to setup a collection of eggs and cute planes?
Thank you mates! David, that rotary is called turbine 🤔

Bugs, I have a few unbuilt eggs myself! And I have retrieved that Fokker DR1 from my stash. Now just trying to decide how "serious" to get with it!

After I noticed that there is a new category "Egg-Planes" at the Euro Model Expo 2024, I thought that I had to participate here to fill it with life. So last week I quickly created an egg-shaped base.
The F-35 then won a bronze medal in Master 🙂

You leave your beloved 1/48 scale and are then immediately successful...that's a sign...😜
