WARNING: Before you start, note that Fascinations have changed the way in which the parts are attached to the frames -- It's better!! This means you can get a flush edge! The attachment point no longer "eats into" the part.
Well done, Fascinations!!!

Comprises of 3 large coloured frets
![Album image #3 Album image #3](/albums/img/5/8/7/1090587-11453-66-720.jpg)

![Album image #4 Album image #4](/albums/img/5/8/9/1090589-11453-80-720.jpg)
End of page 2, wit the majority of work being the engines
![Album image #5 Album image #5](/albums/img/5/9/1/1090591-11453-23-720.jpg)
Three main rockets & and additional thruster on the RHS module. All pulls together pretty nicely.
![Album image #6 Album image #6](/albums/img/5/9/0/1090590-11453-91-720.jpg)
Looks "Shuttle-ish".........spellcheck will probably suggest "cuttlefish"!!!
![Album image #7 Album image #7](/albums/img/7/6/6/1091766-11453-73-720.jpg)
Both upper wing surfaces on
![Album image #8 Album image #8](/albums/img/7/6/7/1091767-11453-19-720.jpg)
Flipped over to show all the tabs twisted in place
![Album image #9 Album image #9](/albums/img/7/6/4/1091764-11453-88-720.jpg)
You need to use a roller (dowel) & base to do this properley.
I cheated with a little superglue too, and secret tabs/eyes.
**** then I noticed that I closed off the seal way too early, which made the next steps harder!!!! Bugger!!

![Album image #10 Album image #10](/albums/img/7/6/2/1091762-11453-57-720.jpg)
Delicate bracket around the rocket - requires patience & gentle pressure.
![Album image #11 Album image #11](/albums/img/7/6/1/1091761-11453-27-720.jpg)
Pipes down the side of rocket need careful bending - found the edge of a steel ruler to work well.
![Album image #12 Album image #12](/albums/img/7/6/5/1091765-11453-35-720.jpg)
plus some soft-jawed pliers
![Album image #13 Album image #13](/albums/img/7/6/3/1091763-11453-67-720.jpg)
in place!!
![Album image #14 Album image #14](/albums/img/7/6/0/1091760-11453-88-720.jpg)
Top & bottom added - first rocket completed.
This should be easier the 2nd time as I wont close it off so early!!

![Album image #15 Album image #15](/albums/img/2/1/5/1093215-11453-29-720.jpg)
Using my "coning" tool - almost the perfect angle!
![Album image #16 Album image #16](/albums/img/2/1/4/1093214-11453-64-720.jpg)
Just because you've done one, doesn't mean the next is a given....... but there's always - CA glue!!
![Album image #17 Album image #17](/albums/img/2/1/6/1093216-11453-15-720.jpg)
Dummy Pose
![Album image #18 Album image #18](/albums/img/2/1/3/1093213-11453-91-720.jpg)
Next to build the nose cone of the main tank - and it's a graduated cone, so must be done in "rings"!
First two piece joined, following instructions to the letter

![Album image #19 Album image #19](/albums/img/2/1/2/1093212-11453-75-720.jpg)
and on the inside, show the tabs still to be fully closed.
![Album image #20 Album image #20](/albums/img/2/1/1/1093211-11453-61-720.jpg)
preparation for the next graduation..... Eyes are bent in 90 degrees (mine too!!) - Tabs bent in about 45 degrees
![Album image #21 Album image #21](/albums/img/2/1/0/1093210-11453-75-720.jpg)
and it works!!
![Album image #22 Album image #22](/albums/img/2/0/9/1093209-11453-65-720.jpg)
Then to add the next (and last) graduation - again following assembly instructions
![Album image #23 Album image #23](/albums/img/2/0/8/1093208-11453-69-720.jpg)
And complete it with the base - all went pretty well!
![Album image #24 Album image #24](/albums/img/2/0/5/1093205-11453-49-720.jpg)
Bending half of the Main Tank, then adding components
![Album image #25 Album image #25](/albums/img/2/0/7/1093207-11453-85-720.jpg)
Then adding the two rockets - make sure they're well secured
![Album image #26 Album image #26](/albums/img/2/0/6/1093206-11453-60-720.jpg)
My insurance - I glued all the backs of the tabs, in place!! - enough for tonight. , . , . - . - , . - a bit high on the glue.....
will sleep well, I think!!!

![Album image #27 Album image #27](/albums/img/1/4/1/1095141-11453-21-720.jpg)
With the tanks side joined I decided to use ~round fillers to try to hold the right shape
1 at each end and 1 pushed up the guts!!
1 at each end and 1 pushed up the guts!!
![Album image #28 Album image #28](/albums/img/1/3/9/1095139-11453-61-720.jpg)
Tank & Rockets complete - free standing too!!
![Album image #29 Album image #29](/albums/img/1/4/0/1095140-11453-27-720.jpg)
Attaching the "base" of the shuttle to the rockets was easy - attached the rest of the shuttle to the base, not so.
I think the best method is to attach pairs of tabs, with the two most inboard ones first, like so!

![Album image #30 Album image #30](/albums/img/1/3/8/1095138-11453-73-720.jpg)
Then the next pair on the body, towards the front of the shuttle - the rest work pretty well.
![Album image #31 Album image #31](/albums/img/1/3/7/1095137-11453-14-720.jpg)
Looks OK, from a distance....
![Album image #32 Album image #32](/albums/img/1/3/6/1095136-11453-24-720.jpg)
but the "wing" shape is pretty awful
![Album image #33 Album image #33](/albums/img/1/3/5/1095135-11453-28-720.jpg)
and even worse on this side.......
![Album image #34 Album image #34](/albums/img/1/3/3/1095133-11453-32-720.jpg)
Decided to use "secret" tabs & eyes to make the base look neater
![Album image #35 Album image #35](/albums/img/1/3/4/1095134-11453-57-720.jpg)
Insurance - just a dab of CA glue on these tabs
![Album image #36 Album image #36](/albums/img/1/2/6/1095126-11453-66-720.jpg)
Getting the rocket tabs to line up with the base slots required a bit of twisting - glad I used the CA glue on the rockets!
You'll need to work on one at a time as there's too much going on to get it all tabbed at once.

![Album image #37 Album image #37](/albums/img/1/2/4/1095124-11453-82-720.jpg)
Ready for launch
![Album image #38 Album image #38](/albums/img/1/2/5/1095125-11453-89-720.jpg)
It's a bit of a squeeze here - fortunately nothing to anchor here, just a very tight fit!!!
Hope there's enough rocket power!!!

Oooh, sorry to hear that, folks! You do need to ensure that you have a variety of fine pliers & cutters......and rollers.........and be slightly looney!!!! That latter helps a lot!! !;^)}

I agree with Torsten: respect. I helped my wife assembling a moon lander and can confirm what Roger says. Without the proper set of tools, it is not fun. Salut!
