Album info
Completely out of the box model, the only extra thing I used were canopy masks from Eduard, although in a hindsight, I feel the interior could use some aftermarket love as it is rather simplistic on the original tooling.
Ever since I saw Top Gun as kid, I loved the F14. IMO, it is one of the most beautiful jets ever made, so when I got this kit for last Christmas, I was very happy. As everyone is going for Jolly Rogers, I opted for VF-74 Bedevillers scheme to have something different... plus I liked the red details on their logo.
It was the first time I tried Doogs' black basing technique and I liked it so much I will now use it for all future plane models.
As always, mistakes were made, but there has definitely been a lot of progress since my last jet, so I am happy with my little F14.
