Academy Flying Fortress
Start of cockpit
Attempting to improve panel lines with scribing tools.
Tools for the job. Cheap scriber from hobby knife set and custom chisel made from old airbrush needle. Both ground down on grinding stone.
Found that the process improved the look, although yet to see true difference after final coat prior to lining. Tip: used white spirit to soften the plastic prior to scribing by pure accident (love it when that happens)! Also found it better to scribe with the point scriber prior to using the chisel as this minimised jumping.
Base coat down. Vallejo Steal Silver
Attempted to dapple the metal prior to next coat
Added some random panel shading to give extra depth.
Oil wash to body
Added final colour details to tail wing and nose.
Added some engine smoke weathering for final touch
