Heh, I have a Nimitz kit from Trumpeter as a WIP project, but had some issues with gluing the two hull pieces together. The fit is a bit iffy and so if one isn't careful, as you handle the glued hull (top + bottom) because of how the plastic is a bad fit, the glue don't hold well, and so I had the seam cracking open after I created a smooth seam.

Tyson TuThanks Treehugger! As I recall, I had some fit issues getting the flight deck to fit once all of the elevator bits were added. I've only done waterline builds so I haven't had to deal with hull seams as much - one of the reasons I stick with waterline ☺️
