If you add a "wash" to the red, you can get to have all the details show up better. For that to work one must have a gloss coat under the wash, ideally acryclic and enamel, to they don't dissolve each other.

just wanna chime in. Depending on how you want the finished model to look, you can use gloss, semi, satin, or flat. The dirtier ,worn, and abused examples would use a flat (more tooth for filters, streaking, and stains to hold onto). Gloss will let pin washes flow fast and free to raised and recessed detail. Satin and semi are nice compromise between the extremes. Depends on your own personal finish line. Still, fantastic engine and must have been an beast of a build (and shelf space gobbler) Bravo
