Album info
The construction was a total breeze. For one thing, I didn't mess with anything and there was no need for any puttying, everything fit beautifully.
The model is after paint application, when it is not peeled yet.
It is an experimental LERAN paint. The word LERAN is probably an abbreviation of LEtecký RAdiační Nátěr - radiative not in the sense of radioactivity, but radiation in the infrared region.
This MiG-21-F-13 was delivered in April 1966 to the 1st slp in České Budějovice. He received this experimental scheme in November 1979, probably during his time with the 4th slp in Pardubice. He flew with the 5th Slp in Lini, his last flight was on 6 June 1989. It was decommissioned in July 1990 in Trencin, where it became part of the local museum. After its relocation it is the property of VHÚ Piešt'any.
