1972 Ford F100 Sport Custom
Box art is pretty nice
What I'm going for...
Chassis about wrapped up
Bunch of bits fresh out of paint
Engine is done
Not sure what engine this represents but it has that heat riser tube that was always the first thing to rust away
Looks good.
Chassis complete, not many parts. Full size spare under the box.
Wheels and tires. No name tires but they are really nice.
We got a roller!
The parts must have fallen on the factory floor. Time for a simple green bath.
Test fit, looks good.
Engine installed
Body painted
Interior painted, dash detailed
Tub assembled
Cab test
Calling it done
Badly warped hood. I tried the hot water truck several times but the warp keeps coming back
Nice quarter
I love the interior but the exterior isn't sitting well with me
I didn't do much underneath but once on the shelf in a case it generally never

Most of the kit went together very well. Not much flash to deal with and the detail is pretty good. Front window needed no glue, it snapped in with a very tight fit. Back window didn't fit, it's bigger than the opening. My hood and seat were severely warped, the seat straightened out upon gluing to the floor. I tried multiple times with hot water and then cold water to get the hood straight, but it always very slowly came back. Instructions are very vague and some steps can leave you scratching your head for a while. Decals are brittle even with hot water. Physically it's a decent kit, quality wise is lacking. I'm not super impressed.

The paint is tamiya ts-61 and a little bit of as-29 on the seat. Exterior had clear coat interior no clear.

I have one of those unbuilt. I had heard about the warped hood issue.

Album info
I have a few of the Moebius pickup and semi truck kits, figured I'd give one a whirl.
