Okay, I?ve seen where people have used that goofy mask that comes with the kit, but to tell you the truth the mask looks like a pain in the ass to use. So, I?m just going to free hand a soft edge (maybe) ambush scheme to this little rascal. It will then be incorporated into a Western Front diorama using Verlinden?s ?Ruined Street?, # MDA 35002?.

Acki, Have you checked out the mask? It sure doesn't look easy to use to me. Lots of cutting and taping from what I can tell at first examination.

Had a look at it. Mike did a great job with the masks.

Thanks Acki ! I knew there was a post here but had no idea where it was. I might reconsider using it now!

No nedd to use the mask. This is a late hetzer, so no ambush scheme ( if you want to be historically correct). Hard edge camo would be correct.

Yes HK, I've been looking at reference photographs and can't find anything I really like (Something that is reasonably historically correct and is pleasing to my eye); and another thing I have against that mask is that my Hetzer will look pretty much like a whole lot of other ones.
I did like that greenish color Mike used.........
Hard edge you say? Hmmm..........

Hi James - the way you build the "Hetzer" is very interesting to me. Good progress...

Yeah; I counted 13 layers of paint. my main concern is that some details will be obscured....which they have, a panel scriber will help some, but some of the PE latches are going to need to be cleaned up somehow.
