I bougth this kit last sunday at the Modelforce exhibition organised by Moveleo, a modellers club in my neighbourhood. I also bought the Mig 29 (eduard) and a Spitfire in Soviet service (ICM). Started yesterday with this little project. although it is called a 'weekend-edition', i won't be able to finish it in 2 days. After painting and assembling the office, i will wheater it with promodellers wash.

This is a nice kit from Eduard, I've build two of these but not the weekend edition, these are great and good fit kits, they bring you a lot of joy building these P39, greetz Phil

Not much time today so I only attached the wings and filled the gaps with putty. I also sanded the fuselage seams.

The plane is ready for the primer, cockpit windows and doors attached. Everything fits very well.

Main colors are applied. Gear also, now just the guns, wiring and the propellor.

although there was nothing mentioned about weight in the booklet i added a little bit in the small nose section. Not enough tough.... it is a tailsitter. Now i will have to build a base of some kind and glue it on this base. Maybe a little diorama.

Now i will let the varnish dry and add the decals tomorrow, then the last weathering and this kit is completed.

No, i never saw one in an Eduard kit, beside that, the weekend kit doesn't add extra's.

I think that's a profipack. Checked my instructions can't Find Anthing about it. The most stupid thing is that i already thougt would happen but didn't add enough weight. But building a nice base is good challenge.

Looking very nice! I like the Airacobra - they were built in Buffalo/Niagara Falls NY area, only about an hour drive from where I live. This looks like a great kit, I have the Academy kit in 1:72 scale waiting in my stash.
