The scouts are back!
(Finnish cavalry)

A scene with Finnish Cavalry in Continuation War. The diorama will show two groups of finnish cavalry - one is waiting at a little bridge, the other is riding back over the bridge - it's a horse walk, not a gallop - the enemy is detected - a tank column will follow ... in half an hour!

a bridge scene inspired by Andy (from Andy's Hobby Headquarters) - the beginning of a process - not the end!

-> at the moment - state of affairs:
- first painting of the horses -> priming and oil paints - done - now detailing is required
- removing insignias from german uniforms - then some heads will be exchanged
- resculpting the cossacks (90 % finished) - one cossacks's coat is removed by scalpel - headgear? - sometimes Finns had worn private headgear (fur) ...
- recolouring the German 3,7 cm PAK ("Panzer-Anklopf-Kanone" means Tank-Knocking-Canon) - using a "Stielgranate" as an effective anti-tank weapon - also used in Finland
- planning the MG for the bunker -> favourite: Schwarzlose M07/12 (common in WW1/KuK Austrian Army; Swedish Volunteers had brought the weapon to Finland in winter war 1939f) - no kit - what means scratchbuilding

I have found two more horses in my storage (Dragon) - now I think I have to look for equestrians ...
