Started another one last night while I was waiting on parts from the Ki 43 to dry. This looks like a great detailed kit, lots of internal detail. This looks like a re release of an old Monogram kit, it is also stamped Monogram 1997 on some parts. Good year, when I graduated. This will be my last WWII US Navy build I think, even though I may someday get a better Corsair because the one I have so so undetailed, it looks like a one of the older models that were really meant to play with back in the day. Anyways, this has good enough detail to be u[p there with the Avenger. Too bad more companies dont do this type of work.

Been working on the flaps, there is a lot from the wing you have to take off to get em on, got one side prepped but its taking some time.

Well, I've come much further with this one, the flaps are on, the camo is mostly painted, and working now on the painting on the tail. Thinking this one is turning out pretty good, even though it has taken so long, or maybe because Ive spent so much time on it.

Brush painting the Navy 3-tone scheme is a challenge! Looks good to me

I like the Testors Navy Blue, but, I cant get it anymore, I have enough to finish this kit, but then, Ill have to go with the Humbrol Navy Blue, which I find is really too dark. I dont really have a problem painting this scheme, I like hand painting camo, even if its doesn't always have the desired border, especially when it is faded, its hard to accomplish with a brush, but I find close enough is good enough. I like my stuff to look good and be as accurate as possible with colors, but I dont have the money to special order every color I should use on every model I have, so I think if its about right its good, and doesn't have to be 100 percent perfect. I have a problem painting the design on the tail, no motivation. Sometimes I dont like Revell very much.
