Ford Tri-Motor Stout Air Lines 1879

1. Cockpit & Interior:
Built the cabin and cockpit from scratch out of plastic sheet and wire because it isn't included in the kit. The curtains are made of tape.

2. Fuselage & Wings:
It's a really old kit. The Tail wheel is not included because the original kit represented a ski plane. It seems they forgot to add one afterwards. Built one out of parts of my spare parts box.
The fitting of the cockpit window is also very suboptimal. Had to cut some edges which I will refill with kristal klear. But all in all the fitting is ok. Next comes the filling and sanding.

3. Painting:
Had problems with my airbrush so the painting isn't that good. I used Vallejo Dull Aluminium. Decals are nice and easy to use.

4. Weathering:
I might overdone the weathering a bit 😉 Finished with a matt coat. Cockpit window doesn't look good as expected.

5. Summary:
As I said before - it's a very old kit and some parts are missing like the tail wheel and some parts just don't want to fit like the cockpit window.
But all in all I'm quite satisfied. Even if I know it isn't perfect in any way.
