Personal interest:
This model represents the Space Shuttle Discovery orbiter. I selected Discovery because of my fond memory of providing meteorological support for the Transatlantic Abort Landing (TAL) site at Ben Guerir Air Base, Morocco during the STS-95 launch. Fortunately, the launch went as scheduled; and in fact, an emergency landing was never executed in the history of the Space Shuttle program.
