Steven Van DyckI never paint the hull parts separately, because they need to get sanded along the seam to get a perfect fit. But it would ease the painting of course.

Maksim Kurmaz@Kesa I used Vallejo IDF Blue mixed with AK Air Superiority Blue (probably I shouldn't to that) for the overall color and AK Deep Sea Blue for dark spots (too dark after drying). In general, I find the Vallejo Model Air paints to be too dark and AK 3rd Gen to be too light.

Spanjaardit is a hard combination of colors to achieve, it may not be perfect (are they ever? 😉 ) but very nicely done anyway
