William JoelTim - question - Did you cut out all the ballast ports or simply paint them black?
I too have 3 subs to build and I've seen the ballast ports cut out and others were simply painted black and then weathered.

ΔΠVery nice idea! I plan to do the same, but my problem was to source the turret. Now that you found a STL file, i can also start! 🙂
Hopfully the 1:35 STL will print well in 1:72.
Will you do a fictional Bundeswehr marking, the one on your project image or the Rheinmetall digital pattern like on wikipedia?

Ingo FI already printed the turret in 1/72 and it looks good, will post some pictures this weekend. I will go with the same markings/camo as shown on the project picture.
If I find the Skyranger 35 turret in 1/72, I will make the second vehicle in Rheinmetall digital camo.
I had a look at the Revell set and it looks good from details, but will probably replace some parts with my own 3D printed ones, have to draw them first of course. 😄

I´ve finished the cockpit. Engine nacelles are done ( quite a hard work), wings are glued to a fuselage. Now, i´m repairing and adding same new panel lines.

Jakub FialaThank you, Alec, for your feedback. I didn't know, how to represent those bolts, that were on real aircraft. Than i decided to try this relatively new product from Eduard. And.....i think, its OK. ( I did not count the number of bolts 😄 )

Jakub FialaYes, i did. Primarily i sanded the rivets with very fine sanding sponge to uncover the layer of silver color underneath. But it was not 100 % OK, so i highlited the rivets by drybrushing them with silver oil color.
