Weights added to the nose. Internal part where cockpit will go sprayed Vallejo Model Air intermediate blue. Engine intake internals painted Vallejo Model Air Insignia white. 🙂

@Rolf Rolf, Thanks for the kind comment. The kit is quite complex with a lot of parts and, as with some of the newer Airfix kits you have to be accurate as the fit is very tight. Other than that, so far, so good! 👍

I wonder if they got the engines right for the RAF Phantom. That's one area where kit manufacturers constantly get wrong.

Primer added and pre-shading. I have put the main canopy on to protect the cockpit. I'll be using the open canopies for the final result. 🙂

In case you're not familiar with him: Thunderball XL-5; Captain Scarlet; Stingray; Thunderbirds; All done with Supermarionation; UFO (1970) and Space:1999 (1972), both done with live actors. Most of these were created for British TV, then shown in Canada, the US and other countires.

I think you should do the factory test model red AND the conservative grey scheme! They are both cool. Heck maybe you should do 20 or 30 of these little suckers. That would be fun.

That's a really nice kit to build ...goes together well , the back wheel n control stick are bit fragile! So be careful.
