Case VA - Complete

I cannot judge the hue of red bit build and weathering look spot on to me. Only suggestion I have is to add a splash of a different color somewhere to create some visual attraction.
it is just perfect, it really screams for a simple base to shine even more. wow.

Since it's #BAMM this was my first entry into FineScale Modeler Magazine's annual contest. I actually completed this model at the end of October, but hadn't gotten around to photographing it until now. This has already seen one convention, taking 3rd in Auto-Other at Samcon 2023.
Kit itself is Airfix's 1/35 Case VA Tractor that saw extensive Allied use during WW2. Since there are so few civvie tractor models on the market, I decided to built and paint mine as the civilian version. This was built almost entirely OOB, although I did add some additional details to the engine itself with plasticard.
It's painted mostly with Tamiya and some AK acrylics, though I think my red tone leans too far into the red spectrum, as most Case tractors at the time had a more red-orange hue (kind of like a tomato color).
It's weathered using a vast array of acrylics, oils, enamels and pigments as I really wanted to capture the heavy dried mud that accumulates on farm vehicles here in the Midwest.
