Heller Saab Viggen
Airbrush mask made in Illustrator and great design to make a test with my new cutting machine Cricut Joy. Today I did the test and I just have to correct the size in general.
Preshading with RLM66
Undersurfaces already with FS36375
First layer of color, I always airbrush the lightest color first and then the darkest. Next dark green, black and last brown because there are only a few small spots.
Very satisfied with the result. This masks cover the light green base color. When all these mask are applied I'm going to airbrush with dark green but not all aircraft, only the parts that should be painted in dark green. Next mask to cover dark green...next with black...and brown
You can see the cuts
I printed in black and white to use as a guide
All the light green mask on the model.
Final paint in NATO black
Final unmasking revelation...Not bad!!
Light green Interior green AK2303, dark green Vallejo US dark green 71.289, brown vallejo USAF Brown 71.125, black Vallejo Nato Black 71.251, grey A.Mig-203 Light Compass Ghost Gray
Some mistakes with the union between green masks but easily repairable.
Here I have corrected the areas where I had not put the masks correctly and where color had leaked where it shouldn't. I have also painted the radome in black Vallejo 71.057
More masking tape! Now to paint and simulate the black leading edge protection tape.

Super cool! I love projects with Viggen wearing the "leaves and meadows" camo. Your masks seem just perfect.

That looks amazing! The colors seem pretty accurate too, very difficult to balance.

BEAUTIFUL!
This is one of my projects. I have the kit, some resin goodies, and the decals ready!
Which paint brand did you use?

Pic 12 - for a few seconds I was wondering what was going on with the "floating" colors, but I realized the edges of the black areas. 🙂
