**Hypothesis**. A15 Crusader AA Tank Mk I, 40mm SP Anti-Aircraft gun, Gold Beach, Normandy, Jun 1944. I have no photo evidence of these being deployed but this is my interpretation of how it may have appeared. I propose this to be attached to Brigade HQ.

Formed in August 1941, the 8th Armored Brigade first entered combat at El Alamein, Egypt in July 1942. The saw continuous action until the final defeat of the Axis in Tunisia, May 1943. The Brigade remained in North Africa until December 1943 when it transferred to England for preparations for Operation Overlord. They took part on D-Day including the use of DD Shermans at Gold Beach. A Southward advance was conducted throughout June and July toward Falaise followed by the breakout and pursuit of the German Army across France and into Belgium by Early September. 8th AB continued to fight in Holland and Germany West of the Rhine until March 1945, then Crossed the Rhine and fought until VE Day.
