Bergepanther Ausf. D, Dragon kit Panther Ausf. D, Fat Frog Models tracks and some scratchbuild details to present an early Bergepanther.
An easy self made conversion for an interesting recovery vehicle. I will add drawbars, a rack with a timber and the wooden hatch above the turret opening.

WIP on my Bergepanther conversion. Today I added the wooden planking and hinges ontop of the turret opening cover.

Taking up one of those firstt row seats on this one! These Fat Frog tracks are really neat, currently using a set on a King Tiger... Looking forward to more of the scratchbuilt addons 👍

You're welcome Tom B. 🙂
Indeed the Fat Frog tracks are really nice, but a lil bit tricky to remove all the printing supports mainly on the inner side of the tracks.

WIP on my Bergepanther conversion. Tow bars and wooden beam added.
So far I have no references for early Bergepanther using the wooden beam, but let's assume it is a field modification.

WIP on my Bergepanther. Rear plate, details added. I cut the covers and hatches off from the kit part. Muchveasier than to rebuild the details.

Did you paint the metal pieces to look like metal or are they real metal pieces?

Jennifer, I gues you asked about the enging grill covers. These are brass photo etch parts from a Flyhawk PE Set.

Yep, they're nicely done.
I decide to add some figures, crew and chatting tank drivers.
