Thank you both! This project was (is) a great learning opportunity and I went into my next kit (the Sherman) with tons of notes. I wanted to get the hang of basic painting and washing here and ended up realizing how important "order of operations" are with respect to when the various layers and techniques are best applied. Gloss before decals being the most obvious visually lol.
The biggest game changer for me has to be the airbrush though! I'd only ever used spray cans and brushes in the (distant) past.

First attempt at modeling in several decades and first time using an airbrush. Fairly satisfied with the results, made a bunch of mistakes but learned a lot too. Decided not to add any mud or dirt and stopped at minor weathering to work on technique. Still need to build and paint the included figure.
