Well done,Zimmi. At my next project i want to try soldering to (for the first time ,too)
I am not so into planes ,so why Reichfeuerzeug?
I know that the Sherman Tanks called "Ronson" ( like the lighter) because of the fast burning by a hit to the ammo.

If only the double skin evaporative cooling worked efficiently enough... 🙂
As Holger pointed out, if it wasn't for the ridiculous dive requirement, it would have been a fairly successful aircraft. It was certainly advanced enough that the Brits were really interested in it.

did some work on the tail, Revell wants you to remove the tailsection, file it and add the specific one for A-6, so I did, as ya can see I added lots of putty to fill the gap, for removal of the putty no sanding stick came around, only cotton buds and mr color thinner, see for yourselves

Ooh, hip surgery? Was it a replacement? My daughter does orthopaedic surgeries, so I hear about this kind of stuff all the time. Hope it continues to make good progress! I would say that the hip has priority over the model! But you still have to finish the model, or we will give you lots of greiff!! 🙂

If you don't mind me saying, the surface looks too matt for an aircraft in 1/72 (maybe it's the photo effect), otherwise the post shading is quite effective. Are you applying a glossy or semi-glossy varnish afterwards ?

Hi Zimmi,
my congrats for such a nice He 177 model!
You achieved truly amazing results! What a mess of work with all those small Photo etched parts! Looks great.
The paint
I was thinking the contour of the nose cone would looks quiet better than presented on the the 48 scale model?
Thumbs up, mate!
