way overscaled for 1:87, but perfect for 1:35

Framework buildings are a fairly easy affair: once you´ve choosen a pattern (these can vary from region to region), you build up the wooden elements. Use wire to bolt the sticks together, and add boltings from the outside (toothpick eg.)

Album image #11
when you´ve stained the wood, you can add the filling. Be creative here, you can show the the inner part (twigs like in the upper lest corner) or create new ones like bricks or stones. I´ve glued paper on the rear side and filed it with air clay

Album image #12
after putting up the supporting structure, I´ve started guleing the roof on

Album image #13
I´ve used half of this big brush on and it took me quite a while, but it was worth it 😉

HOW TO DO WOOD: all you need (apart from wood glue): saw, cutter, wire brush (to create some real woodgrain), a lighter (to burn off excess created by the wire brush) and my special tools:

Album image #15
two biros, both fitted with needels, great for making nail holes, applying glue or wahtever else...

Album image #16
wood stain, acrylic and oils in white, burnt umber and black

Album image #17
building a bench... usual bloting with wire for stability, wood garin with a cutter added (woood was too hard for the wire brush)

Album image #18
stained

Album image #19
covered with white acrylic colour, let it dry properly

Album image #20

cool stuff! I'm okay with building the major elements, its the little clutter that gives me brain cramps. And its that little clutter that really makes it come alive.

here goes the first part (starting at pic 10)... netx part will follow tonight...
concerning the clutter: metioning all would definetly be too much, but if you got questions feel free to ask... basicially everyting what´s not looking like wood, wire or foil, is air clay...

That's a neat figure set, I've used this family (when I was making dioramas) here:[img1] and see them pop up here and there in dioramas...........
