Yeah, looking cool! How is the fit of the HobbyBoss sprues? Have you already worked with the Brassin parts?

Thank you mates for your nice comments, I am looking forward to the paintjob, maybe this evening...
@Holger - the fitting and quality of the Hobby Boss sprues is quite good, only the fitting of the main- and front-fuselage required some sanding and over-work. Regarding the brassin I only worked with the two turbines for now, they are ok. You have to be very careful, as they broke very easily.

It has indeed a lot of parts and the sprues remind me of the 1:32 Trumpi Cat...It looks as if they just downscaled the kit!

I'll try it with Vallejo model air, but for me it's a matter of taste which type of colour you use

Yes, I totally agree...I like the Revell colours, as they are available easily in Austria, the price is ok, and they are easy to handle and paint, when you thin them correctly. The only difficulty is to convert the colours with every Non-Revell kit, but its also not a too big effort. Cheers, Christian

Thank you all for following this!
Michael, its not as fast as it seems to...still a lot of work to do 😉
The overal fitting is quite good, just a little sanding and putty required. Thanks to Flory model, the weathering is also done within an afternoon, and I am really satisfied with the result.
Cheers, Christian

Thank you mates for your kind comments! Speed is not the best friend of a modeller...but I guess I have a good "system" in organizing my steps and paintjobs...also the revell aqua color allows me to paint parts very fast.
Anyway, there is much space for improvement at this time...I still have to learn a lot and I am glad to be member of this excellent forum!

OK, I was just wondering, somewhere I got the idea it was the Hobby Boss kit. I have 4 of the academy F-14 kits.

How many "Honey, when are you coming to bed?"s did this one take? A beautiful job. I've been doing this since about 1960, and I don't know I could have done better. Well done, sir!

Thank you very much guys, your comments also make me speechless 😉
Christian, no problem, you are very welcome!
Robin, thank you very much, your words are very kind! Indeed it takes a few working hours, but the kit was without any problems and the Eduard-goodies worked well!
BTW...I am thinking about buying this kit again, as it was one of the best F-14 kits I have ever built.

Success begets success. I've "rebuilt" many kits I loved doing. The Revell-Monogram 1/48 B-17G "blue stripe" (ya'll know the kit) has been done three times with another on the shelf, Revell's 1/96 Cutty Sark 3X, Airfix 0/400 twice, and the list goes on. Each build gets a little better. Go for it and have fun (the most important part).

The two most plentifull aircraft in my collection, the F-14 and F-4. If I can ever get one to come close to the quality of this build, I will be a very happy man. Well done.

Thank you very much guys! Yes, Robin, every build is getting better and there are so many beautiful schemes!
@Clifford, I think you ARE a happy man with your builds, which are a great inspiration for me!
Bill, thank you again!
The Turkey is already flying to his new owner, and I guess he will be very happy to have it in his collection 😉
