Hi Michael! A 1 cent coin from Canada is 19mm in diameter. I used speaker wire for the grill. It was just about the only small wire I could find for this.

Thanks everyone! It was a bit over-the-top, even for me, but the new 1/48 Tamiya Daimler Dingo Mk2 really needs one to fill in the interior. They supply a commander figure wearing headphones, but no radio to plug into...go figure!

From an "Aussie" to a "Canac". Did you know that the word "Dingo", is, in Australian 'slang', means 'gutless', 'weak', 'shifty', 'no heart' ? But in actual fact, the "Dingo" or Warrigal (The aboriginal name) is one of the smartest creatures on God's earth. They work in pairs to bring down their quarry, by taking turns in harassing their next meal to the point of exhaustion. 🙂

@Acki: Thanks for the compliment! This is the only one for now, I'm afraid. I wasn't sure that this one would even work. I may have to cobble together another without the mesh for copying purposes though.

@Kerry: Great info! I'll bet not very many know the background of the Dingo. That said, my research has led to an interesting fact: in WW2, 2 Dingos and 2 Daimler AC's would work in co-operation with each other in their scouting duties. I don't know if this was the norm, but interesting nonetheless.

Hi Ken, I´ll have a try on my own and hope that it works. You named this wireless. Wasn´t there wires? The commander wasn´t wireless.

Yes, the commander was "plugged" into the set, but the wireless comes from the fact that it's transmission and reception was done through the airwaves via an antenna and not by wires as in a telegraph.
