Thanks all for checking in. Mind you, progress is slow, so updates will be irregular.
@ Es-haq: yes, I did paint the Eduard Pe, it's way to bleu-ish and has a rather ungainly looking texture to it.

Inside out (with the sticky side on the outside) rolled up pieces of Tamiya tape. I didn't have any clay or something like that. This little trick did the job, but it works only on straight lines.
