That gives me enough time to organize some pop corn and a beer or two. 🙂

Good start, one tip: get use to Tamiya extra thin cement, you will find that it is your best friend! you can use it to prepare one small jar with this liquid cement that looks like water, and cut pieces of sprue, and drop on it, than you can use it as a filler to complete the gaps of your model, you can balance the thickness of the mixture by adding more or less sprue or glue, what it gave to you is basic plastic dissolved, and once it is applied and dry, it will be as hard and durable as the plastic around it, you can sand, scribe, polish, saw, works much better than ordinary fillers that shrink over the time, and have a different consistency than the plastic. just give it a try and you can thank me latter 😉

Yeah, well dont speak too soon Kerry! I sort of f@@@@ up a lot when having a go with Tamiyas canned primer. I sprayed too thick in the beginning. Dunno how to fix that. And I need another go at the canopy.
Thanks Vegard! Hope it will turn out OK.

Brake fluid is the way I get paint off any parts of a model, as it just dissolves the paint and leaves the plastic untouched or affected.

Well organized and clean and sharp work so far. Don't worry about any mishap (your canopy), we're dealing with it more or less every modeling day.
But this forum is a good place to share your work and problems and to help each other!
Happy modeling😉

Mistakes happen and you will learn more from them than the stuff that went right at the first try......Kerry is very right on the brake fluid. Another tip is to try painting something else first, I practiced airbrushing on some old toy cars first, because I had them around and they also have complex shapes, for me it's a good way to get a feel for it. Try not to cover the model in one go....keep your distance with the can and lightly "dust" the model with paint, repeat as many times as needed....

Aron, I need to know if you have an airbrush please. ?
I am asking because I have a way of using spray can contents by removing the paint from the can, to a bottle and then to the air brush.
This Youtube clip will explain how to do it.

Take a look at each one and figure out the best one for you.
Don't forget, ask a million questions, as we have some answers.
Cheers. 🙂

Woah, thanks Kerry! Well, I do not have an airbrush yet, but hopefully I will try to get one this autumn, so then this might come in handy! Thanks a bunch!
Thanks Antonio! It works for now, but I really would like more living space and a proper mancave! Well, gonna have to finish my studies first!
