I decided to remove the molded cylinders to replace them with resin ones from a corsair motor kit

The resulted pice

The black base for alclad is done
![Album image #5 Album image #5](/albums/img/3/2/1/181321-14840-66-720.jpg)
For the nose I used polished aluminum from alclad
![Album image #6 Album image #6](/albums/img/3/2/2/181322-14840-58-720.jpg)
The rest of the kit is assembled
![Album image #7 Album image #7](/albums/img/3/2/3/181323-14840-29-720.jpg)

The molded markings on the wings were painted the ones on the nose and tail were covered with super glue from the beginning
![Album image #10 Album image #10](/albums/img/3/2/6/181326-14840-47-720.jpg)
![Album image #11 Album image #11](/albums/img/3/2/7/181327-14840-39-720.jpg)
A mixture of aluminum plate and stainless steel from metalizer is applied for the hole model
![Album image #12 Album image #12](/albums/img/3/2/8/181328-14840-29-720.jpg)
![Album image #13 Album image #13](/albums/img/3/2/9/181329-14840-96-720.jpg)
![Album image #14 Album image #14](/albums/img/3/3/0/181330-14840-13-720.jpg)
After sealing for decals with sealer from metalizer, the alclad on the nose lost power, so a little touch up was made
![Album image #15 Album image #15](/albums/img/3/3/1/181331-14840-36-720.jpg)
For the special metal appearance I made and printed a pattern to simulate it. Here is after it's application.
![Album image #16 Album image #16](/albums/img/3/3/2/181332-14840-95-720.jpg)
All decals done
![Album image #17 Album image #17](/albums/img/3/3/3/181333-14840-98-720.jpg)

An ugly duckling into a beautiful swan. !!!
What a transformation.!!
I really need to know if the "Machined metal" look on the nose is a decal, or the actual 'texture' of the mould please ????
This is just amazing. I love her. !!

Great result out of such a simple kit.
Must be decal or some tricky painting/polishing IMHO - on pic 5 it's not yet visible.
But I'm interested in the details of that technique too 🙂

Helo guys, thanks for your comments, I am really glad you liked it. As you implied, the metal texture of the nose is in fact a decal I made, if you are interested, I can send you the patern for you to print on clear decal film.

Just what the doctor ordered, as I am looking for that machined metal look for the mounting plate for my "Wasp" I am currently building.

Eduardo, I am back to see how your "Spirit" turned out and to take a better look at all you albums as part of my "Grand Tour", visiting all the mates on my :Mates list" and having a good look at all the albums to see what sort of things everyone does.
From the looks of what you have posted, I am most impressed with all you have done mate.
But I do like what you did with that "Chunk Of Plastic", turning it into a real masterpiece.
Your an other of the talented ones I am glad to say I put on my mates list.
Love your models.
Cheers.
Now I am off to the next on my list. 🙂
