🙂 Looking for updates. When the build is going on, can you tell something about the fit of the kit?
30 July 2015, 07:31

Hi Florian, Build is ongoing at the moment.
So far the fit is.. tight.. everything fits perfectly sometimes too perfect
30 July 2015, 09:10

Quick update.. some of the interior pieces as they are now.. most have needed fettling during dry fitting to allow the sides to close properly.
Its well engineered kit

These Airfix Lynx´s have a good Reputation. Need to get one too!
What markings will you apply my dear?
30 July 2015, 11:41

Augie, Good to see you nimble fingers back in the groove mate, and it's very impressive what you have done so far. 🙂 👍
30 July 2015, 11:50

Lol thats Guido's way of telling us his usual seat... Row 4.. Seat 13.. 🙂
Holly, the one I got was a ebay special with only a single UK Army example of decals
30 July 2015, 11:53

Smelling Humbrol? Check!
Added a needle to Guido´s seat when he goes peeing? Check!

30 July 2015, 13:05

LOL guys 😄 mad the lot of you😉
Pavel, that is perfect! спасибо. Это заставило меня смеяться
30 July 2015, 15:23

Holger, I was referring to the fact that Augie is just the best with a brush, and NO nasties, just my sense of humour that got lost in the translation.:-/
30 July 2015, 22:27

hehe its ok guys you were both on the right directions worry not either of ya 😄
30 July 2015, 22:45

Further work on the insides, going to have to scratch some wiring thats missing this could end up being a bigger build than I planned.
31 July 2015, 07:40

Isnt it always the same? You think: "Hmmm, that will gonna be a quick build..." And two years later you have finished the interior...LOL 😄
31 July 2015, 08:04

Lol yeah can be.. i doint mind tho.. gives me an excuse on this one to see how far i can go.. or want to go before going crazy lol
31 July 2015, 08:06

And more being added....
Guess once i get the scratch feeling it takes a hold...
31 July 2015, 19:00

Liking the way you done the back end, has a lively quality 🙂
I watch with intrigue
31 July 2015, 21:16

thanks guys 🙂
More working being done as I type.. will see how far before i get bored lol
31 July 2015, 21:24

Yes Augie, the "Scratch" certainly gets under your skin, especially when the results are good.🙂
The copper 'coils' look the part.
excellent stuff. 🙂
31 July 2015, 21:29

And now the wires behind the seats... kinda makes you wish they kept wires hidden..
1 August 2015, 21:29

Augie has been sitting in the back of this helicopter she is rewiring. 🙂
8 August 2015, 01:02

Thanks chaps 🙂

12 August 2015, 20:15

12 August 2015, 21:45

done a nice job of the interior Augie, I like the way you handled the floor 🙂
15 August 2015, 14:10

I watched a TV program about the Lynx last night, it is really an awesome machine. I didn't know they could roll and loop the darn thing, that is just wild.
28 August 2015, 23:47

.... Also held the world speed record for a helicopter since 1986 when a specially lightened Westland Lynx managed 249 mph which has recently been broken this year. First by the Sikorsky X2 in 2010 and more recently Eurocopter's X3 with speeds of 288 mph and 293 mph respectively.

29 August 2015, 13:15

My "Bone" resin parts were shipped on Friday, so as soon as I get them I will get back to work on it.

Ooo god need to update this.
So fueslage and skids are done.. now detailing.. and painting. will get new pic at weekend and post update..
8 September 2015, 22:39

Looking smart and tidy Augie. I must as what type of brush you use, be it sable, camel hair or something else, as you get the best finish to your work. 🙂
10 September 2015, 02:29

Lol thanks guys...
Need to sort the gap at bottom of the screen..
Kerry, I use oddly nothing particularly special, Tamiya modelling brushes.. mainly the flat ones.
12 September 2015, 12:17

Augie, I really thought you had a secret weapon when it came to your painting skills. Thanks for that, and I have more respect for your skills now I know what you use.
Great stuff . 🙂 👍
12 September 2015, 21:02

Thanks Bud 🙂
I'm having motivation issues with builds at the moment.. am sure it will come back 🙂
13 September 2015, 09:27

If you need motivation, just take a look at all your albums you have posted here. 🙂

Something to be proud of Augie. ;-/
All 97 of them. 🙂
13 September 2015, 09:45

13 September 2015, 12:42

..... yeah, I have just got Hasegawas fat little Zero and it is soooo cute 😄
..........and you can pretty well just build it and then paint it 🙂
if you are a skilled brush painter using acrylics you could probably do one in an evening😉
13 September 2015, 13:50

What in particular do you mean by "Lots" Augie.?
I am assuming (A bad thing to do) that you mean all the little details your noted for. 🙂 !
18 September 2015, 23:49

Lol hey Kerry,
Its got a few internal details to do.. lots of external items.. decals.. weathering.. 🙂
19 September 2015, 08:39

Ah, just those annoying little things that make all the difference. Yeah. 🙂 !
19 September 2015, 09:29

hehe well yeah.. and of course actually putting all the parts on.. helps lol
19 September 2015, 12:06

Further wee update on this one, doing little bits in amongst other things
4 October 2015, 16:53

... shaping up nicely Augie, you should do a video tutorial on how paint with a brush properly 🙂
4 October 2015, 17:21

Lol thanks choppa 🙂 its not hard to do it.. just a question of knowing paint and best brushes
4 October 2015, 17:31

so you say, but I've tried and struggled with it, my bro on the other hand did it almost straight away, with Airfix paints and brushes no less..... anyhow, thought I would say 😄
4 October 2015, 18:27

Augie, I agree with Choppa, and a short vid would really be the icing on the cake about how you get such great results, and an inspiration for those who cant afford an air brush mate. 🙂 👍
As always, your results are wonderful to see. 🙂 👍
4 October 2015, 20:01

and a little bit Yoda-ish judging by your grammar, haha 😄
anyhow, no time for false modesty😉
we wants our video my precious, yes we does 🙂
4 October 2015, 23:10

I agree with Choppa and Kerry. I often find myself wondering how you get such nice finishes with a brush.
5 October 2015, 01:45

So been doing further work to this.. had to pop the windscreen off.. forgot many cockpit details.. cyclic, collective, panel.. oops
13 November 2015, 22:52

Ah, ! Just the necessities of flight, but I do that all the time. lol 🙂
But I am wondering if you used a clear glue, like 'clear fix' originally to allow you to do these repairs. ?
14 November 2015, 01:15

I am so pleased to know that Augie, as it is no fun once the permanent gluing is done.🙂 👍
It is coming along nicely my friend. 👍
14 November 2015, 10:15

Thank goodness you were able to repair/correct your issues without any visible scars happening, and from the latest images, all is looking good from here on for you.🙂 🙂 👍 👍
Much happiness mate.🙂
Cheers. 👍
14 November 2015, 20:45
